Monrovia, Liberia- Bomi County Senator Edwin Melvin Snowe has taken a major step toward the Liberian presidency with the formation of a political action committee named Team Snowe for President 2029.
The newly established team, chaired by former Representative aspirant Arthur Gotolo, has already submitted its first report.
The document includes a comprehensive draft of a four-year strategic political plan, signaling the group’s readiness to build momentum for Snowe’s presidential bid.
The group presented the four year strategic plan to the Bomi Senator on May 13, 2025, in Monrovia.
This initiative marks the official beginning of Senator Snowe’s journey to vie for the nation’s highest political office in 2029, with preparations set to intensify the political in the coming months.
Snowe, who served as lawmakers for Montserrado County District #6 for 12-year and a onetime Representative of Bomi electoral District #2 and a current senator of Bomi is now eying the presidency in 2029.
Though the 2029 elections are still far, but many political actors have already started expressing interest.
There are names of some top political figures who are eying the presidency in 2029, including the sitting the Vice President Jeremiah K. Koung, former President George M. Weah, current Senate Pro-Temp Nyonblee Karngar-Lawrence, Bong County Senator Prince Moye, Nimba District #7 Representative Musa H. Bility, and amongst others.
Many political pundits have observed that the 2029 general and presidential elections is unpredictable, stating that anybody could emerge victorious if the incumbent President Joseph Boakai do not contest.
