Margibi County — As preparations intensify for the annual Shiloh prayer gathering of the Winners’ Chapel International, the resident pastor of the church’s Unification Town branch, Pastor Rufus F. Quaye, has cautioned worshippers not to mistake the event for a form of entertainment.
Addressing congregants during a Sunday exhortation titled “Getting Set for the Opening of New Chapters to Your Life at Shiloh,” Pastor Quaye stressed that Shiloh remains a solemn prophetic convocation and not a venue for “movie watching.”
“Shiloh is a major annual prophetic gathering,” he said. “It is a place of divine connection with God, not a place to sit and watch as if it were a film show. Many who do not understand the purpose of Shiloh may think we came to watch television, but this is not so.”
Shiloh services are streamed live to local and international branches worldwide from the church’s headquarters in Canaanland, Nigeria, with Bishop David O. Oyedepo serving as the chief minister.
The 2025 edition of Shiloh, themed “Breaking New Grounds,” is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, December 9, and conclude on Sunday, December 14, with a thanksgiving service.
Pastor Quaye urged members of the Christian community, both within Liberia and abroad, to devote their time and hearts fully to the program. “Give your time to the God of Shiloh and your life will not remain the same,” he encouraged. “Shiloh is the mountain of answers to prayers. Bring all your problems to the God of Shiloh and believe in Him, because He is the problem solver.”
Highlighting expectations for this year’s gathering, the pastor added, “At Shiloh, you should expect supernatural turnaround, a mountain of answered prayers, and prophetic interventions, among others.”
He concluded with a call for sincere spiritual preparation: “Come to Shiloh with your expectations. Open your hearts and believe in the doings of God. He will certainly prove Himself.”
