After Guinea returned a total of 942 Sierra Leoneans, the Government of Sierra Leone has transferred its returned nationals from Guinea to the Kambia Military Barracks in Pebu for temporary stay.
The Office of National Security (ONS) said the returned Sierra Leoneans will remain at the military barracks for a short period as the government works on necessary arrangements aimed at family unification, accommodation, and other welfare interventions.
The ONS said, “They will later be safely released to their respective families. For now, they have been urged to remain calm and cooperative as we continue to support them.”
