Sinoe Community College continues to carry out its outreach program with the aim of boosting enrolment at the institution. On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, the college visited three additional high schools in Greenville. The initiative, led by the college’s newly appointed president, Rev. Dr. Solomon K. Jappah, Sr., and the Public Relations Department, headed by Mr. Deecee Lincoln Browne, first began on October 4, 2024, at St. Paul Episcopal Parish High School.
Today’s outreach extended to St. Joseph Catholic High School, Grary Hall Christian High School, and Seebeh High School. The program aims to encourage students across the county to consider Sinoe Community College as their first choice for higher education. The administration highlighted the availability of free tuition and emphasized the college’s status as the only higher learning institution in the county.
Sinoe Community College currently offers Associate Degrees in Business and Public Administration, General Education, Public Health, and Nursing. However, the Public Health and Nursing programs are not yet functional, though efforts are underway to get these departments operational soon.
Both students and school administrators praised the college for raising awareness about the institution and creating opportunities for local students. Many applauded the administration’s commitment to making higher education accessible within the county.
The outreach tour will cover a total of 13 high schools throughout Greenville. This initiative seeks to boost enrollment while supporting the educational and economic development of the region.
By promoting the accessibility and benefits of studying at Sinoe Community College, the administration hopes to equip students with the skills they need to contribute to their local communities.
