Sinoe Political Tensions Escalate as Heated Exchange Erupts Between Senator Chea and Teahjay

By Verity Staff Writer

Political tensions in Sinoe County have intensified following a sharply worded public statement from political figure Teahjay directed at Senator Augustine Chea, ahead of the anticipated 2029 electoral cycle.

In a statement circulating on social media, Teahjay launched a series of personal accusations against Senator Chea, criticizing his conduct, professional integrity, and political record. The remarks included allegations of emotional decision-making, lack of transparency, and past administrative controversies.

Teahjay wrote in part:

“Augustine Chea, a shyster and pettifogger- who’s deceiving a weakling like you that you will be given 21 years?”

He further accused the senator of reacting emotionally to public debate and suggested that Chea failed to properly review official documents in prior public service decisions. The statement also referenced alleged historical disputes involving land administration in Sinoe County.

Teahjay continued with a series of personal criticisms; describing Chea as “pretentious,” “duplicitous,” and “a two-faced man,” while asserting that political accountability would be a defining issue in the 2029 elections.

He added that he remains committed to engaging voters across Sinoe County, stating that restrictions or political pressure would not prevent his participation in local political discourse.

“I will sit in my living room and when I want, drive to any part of Sinoe to speak to our people. I will still take you down… 2029 is judgement day,” he said.

The statement concluded with a call for continued engagement, framing the unfolding political rivalry as part of a longer electoral contest leading up to 2029.

As of press time, Senator Augustine Chea had not issued a formal public response to the allegations or statements contained in the circulating remarks.

The exchange underscores growing political friction in Sinoe County, where early positioning for the next election cycle appears to be intensifying well ahead of the official campaign period.
