The Chairman of the Coalition of the Student Unification Party (SUP) at the High School Division, Amara M. Donzo, has called on President Joseph N. Boakai to immediately dismiss the Assistant Superintendent of the Monrovia Consolidated School System (MCSS), Mr. Emmanuel K. Robertson.
According to Chairman Donzo, the conduct and performance of Mr. Robertson have raised serious concerns among students across MCSS-run schools, creating what he described as “a growing atmosphere of dissatisfaction and mistrust within the student community.”
“The continued presence of Assistant Superintendent Robertson threatens the integrity and effectiveness of our educational environment,” Donzo stated in a release issued Wednesday in Monrovia.
He further emphasized that the call for Mr. Robertson’s removal was not made “lightly or out of emotion,” but based on consistent observations and complaints from students about what he termed as administrative negligence and poor engagement with the student body.
Chairman Donzo warned that failure by President Boakai to respond to their call within the coming days could lead to unspecified actions by the student community aimed at expressing their discontent and protecting their rights.
“This is not a threat but a clear message that students will no longer sit idly while the quality of their education and leadership accountability are undermined,” Donzo added.
He urged the relevant authorities to take swift and decisive action to address the matter and restore confidence among students within the MCSS system.
As of press time, neither the Office of President Boakai nor the MCSS administration had issued an official response to the students’ demand.
