The Growth Accelerator Liberia Programme (GALP) Cohort V concluded its Final Pitching Ceremony with the announcement of 10 outstanding women-led businesses as grant winners.

The event, held in Monrovia, marked the culmination of months of mentorship, training, and business development support for 18 promising ventures from across the country.

Each of the 10 selected businesses will receive a USD 10,000 co-financing grant, along with mentorship and technical assistance designed to scale their operations and deepen their impact in Liberia’s growing economy.

The winners are:

Choices Liberia Limited

Angea Agro Hub Inc.

Green Investment

Jane’s Health line Liberia Inc.

Leelah Group of Companies

Youth Agribusiness for Liberian Indigenous Vegetable Value Addition (YALIVVA Inc.)

Liberia Agri-Processing Venture (LAP Venture)

Harvesting Hope Enterprise

Afro Resources Inc.

JBC Enterprise

These women-led enterprises span sectors including agriculture, agro-processing, health, and sustainability, showcasing the diversity and potential of Liberia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The Final Pitching Ceremony featured powerful presentations from all 18 participating businesses, with a panel of expert judges evaluating their innovation, sustainability, market potential, and community impact.

Speaking at the ceremony, representatives from UNDP Liberia, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and key partners including the European Union in Liberia, the Embassy of Sweden in Monrovia, and financial institutions such as Bloom Bank Africa Liberia Limited, UBA Liberia, Ecobank-Liberia, and International Bank Liberia Limited, praised the entrepreneurs for their vision and perseverance.

This is more than a funding opportunity, it’s a platform to empower women and strengthen Liberia’s private sector,” said a UNDP representative. “These winners represent the future of inclusive and sustainable economic growth in Liberia.”

The Growth Accelerator Liberia Programme continues to be a critical driver of women’s economic empowerment, offering tailored support to high-potential enterprises that are ready to scale.

As Cohort V concludes, the impact of these businesses is expected to extend beyond their balance sheets, creating jobs, supporting communities, and inspiring the next generation of Liberian entrepreneurs.
