In a shocking crime that has rocked the City of Zwedru, three men have been arrested in connection with a gang rape involving two sisters. The incident occurred on September 8, 2025, when the victims, who are residents of new Georgia community in Zwedru, were returning home late at night after purchasing apples.
According to the victims, they were intercepted by six men on two motorcycles along the way. The men chased them until they entered the Map office community, where the motorcyclists forced them to stop. The victims tried to hide in a banana bush, but the men found them and threatened them with knives as a mean of raping them.
The Liberia National Police women and children division has arrested three of the suspects in connection with the case. The arrested individuals are identified as Chris Gbawea, 21, Isaac Bloe (known as LEVEL), 22, and George Brown (known as Two Days Soup), 20. The three suspects are currently held in custody pending further investigation, while the remaining three perpetrators are still at large.
The victims have been provided with medical assistance by the women and children division. The authorities are working to apprehend the remaining suspects and ensure that they face the full consequences of their actions.
