A devastating accident at Boy’s Town Junction on the Robertfield Highway in Margibi County has left several people critically injured after a yellow truck crashed into a commercial taxi.
The incident, which occurred in full view of bystanders, was captured live by the Liberia National Television (LNTV) and showed emergency responders using heavy machinery to free trapped passengers.
Among the victims was a small child who was pulled from the wreckage in critical condition. A female passenger, showing signs of life, was also rescued along with two other severely injured individuals. All four victims were transported by an Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) ambulance to the 14 Military Hospital for emergency medical care.
The crash left the yellow taxi pinned beneath the larger truck, complicating rescue efforts. According to reports from the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS) television crew, local residents joined the rescue operation, attempting to assist those trapped under the truck, including the injured child.
Despite the swift response from community members, many onlookers expressed frustration over the delayed arrival of ambulance services. The cause of the accident remains unknown, as no official investigation has yet determined what led to the collision.
Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic, with emergency personnel working against time to save the victims. Authorities have not provided updates on the condition of the injured or the status of the truck driver as investigations continue.
