PHEBE, May 13, 2025 — An unidentified male teenager was found dead in the vehicle of Nyanquoi Urey, a staff member of the Bong County Health Team in Suakoko District. The grim discovery was made by health petitioners during a routine clean-up on early Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
According to Sam Siakor, Bong County Health Team’s Administrator, Urey had parked his vehicle for safety at the hospital compound while he traveled to China on business, leaving the keys with his wife. Expressing his frustration over the incident, Siakor urged the hospital staff to maintain their focus amid this unsettling event and reassured the community that a thorough investigation is underway with the Liberia National Police Bong Detachment.

A joint meeting encompassing the hospital administration, local police, and county administration is scheduled for today at 1:00 PM to discuss the findings of the investigation. The deceased’s body has been transferred to St. Moses Funeral Home for preservation while the investigation continues.
Initial observations revealed marks on the body, along with signs of bleeding from the lower abdomen. The community of Bong County is currently in distress over this tragic occurrence, particularly given that it took place within a secure environment monitored by 24-hour security personnel.
