Turning Housing Dreams into Reality: Young Liberians Launch Real Estate Venture

By: Archie Boan

A group of ambitious young Liberians under the banner Smart Brother Homes Incorporated has officially launched its real estate venture, pledging to make homeownership more affordable and accessible for citizens across Liberia.

The launch ceremony, held on Saturday, October 19, in Ben’s Town, Marshall, Margibi County, marked the unveiling of a new housing project that offers modern, fully furnished homes at competitive and flexible rates.

Speaking during the event, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Daniel Gborkorquellie, described the initiative as “the beginning of our journey to provide quality and affordable housing in Liberia.”

“We understand the challenges that many individuals and families face in finding suitable housing in Liberia,” Gborkorquellie said.

“That’s why we are committed to making the process easier and more accessible for all. Our real estate project will offer options for both buying and renting, ensuring that every Liberian has a chance to own or live in a decent home.”

According to Smart Brother Homes, the company specializes in constructing three-bedroom and four-bedroom apartments, built from the ground up, fully completed, and sold along with the land on which the homes stand.

Under the company’s flexible payment plan:

• The three-bedroom apartment is priced at US$95,000, requiring a 30% down payment before occupancy, with the balance payable over a seven-year period under a 15% mortgage arrangement.

• The four-bedroom apartment costs US$115,000, following similar payment terms.

Gborkorquellie emphasized that the company’s goal goes beyond profit-making it seeks to empower Liberians through sustainable housing ownership.

“Our team at Smart Brothers Construction Group Incorporated is dedicated to delivering high-quality construction and excellent customer service,” he noted. “We are excited to help make the dream of owning a home a reality for many Liberians.”

The launch drew community members, youth representatives, and prospective buyers who lauded the initiative as a timely contribution to addressing Liberia’s growing housing deficit.

With housing affordability remaining a challenge for many citizens, the entry of Smart Brother Homes into the real estate market is seen as a major step toward bridging the gap between dream and ownership.

The company announced plans to expand similar projects to other parts of Liberia in the near future, reaffirming its commitment to supporting national development through housing.
