The United States Embassy in Monrovia has expressed strong support for Liberian citizens and grassroots organizations leading the fight against the growing crisis of drug abuse and trafficking across the country.
In a public statement, the Embassy commended civil society groups and community-based organizations for their tireless efforts to raise awareness and confront the alarming rise in drug-related issues that continue to impact Liberia’s youth and broader society.
As peaceful demonstrations take place nationwide today, calling attention to the urgent need for action, the U.S. Embassy emphasized the vital role of community engagement in addressing this pressing challenge.
The Embassy highlighted that protecting Liberia’s young people and safeguarding the nation’s future requires a collective effort from all sectors of society.
It praised those working at the grassroots level for their leadership in bringing national attention to the dangers of drug use and trafficking.
