The President of the United States Donald Trump confirmed on social media that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed in US-Israeli strikes. Born in 1959 in Meybod, Iran, interim Supreme Leader Arafi is a prominent Iranian cleric and political figure who studied Mathematics and Philosophy.
Arafi is widely considered a ‘modern hardliner’ who has been serving as a member of The Guardian Council since 2019, The Assembly of Experts since 2022, and The Leadership Council of Iran. He served as President of Al-Mustafa International University from 2008 to 2018.
