Unity Party Sets December 6 for Groundbreaking of Nationwide Headquarters

MONROVIA – The ruling Unity Party (UP) has officially declared December 6, 2025, as the date for the groundbreaking ceremony of its headquarters across Liberia a move party officials describe as a “historic step toward institutional transformation.”

Speaking to at a Press conference in Monrovia, UP National Chairman Luther Tarpeh said the date will mark a major milestone in the party’s effort to strengthen its structure, expand membership, and consolidate its presence across the country.

“Our party is the only political party in the history of Liberia that has left power and returned,” Chairman Tarpeh said. “It’s time to build a Green Party that will serve the Liberian people for the next 200 years. We have agreed that on December 6, 2025, we are going to acquire great things for our party. It’s time to build strong infrastructure and increase our membership all over Liberia. On that day, the country will feel the weight of the Unity Party.”

Tarpeh emphasized that the leadership is committed to transforming the UP into a modern, sustainable political institution capable of delivering on its promises to the Liberian people.

The Chairman’s remarks were made during a press conference where the party addressed several pressing national and internal matters, reaffirming its commitment to governance, unity, and development.

The Unity Party, which returned to power under President Joseph Nyuma Boakai in 2023, says the upcoming event will symbolize a new era of organizational stability and long-term political vision for the ruling establishment.
