Sanniqueille, Nimba County – During a heartfelt sermon at the licensing and ordination service for pastors and reverends of Harvest Intercontinental Ministries Unlimited – Liberia Mission, Guest Preacher Brian Gandy from the United States of America has urged licensed pastors and ordained Reverends to fully embrace their roles as committed stewards in the growth of the Church.
Gandy’s timely message underscored the way of pastoral leadership and the obligations that come with guiding congregations in an ever-evolving world.
He stressed that licensed and ordained leaders are crucial for the spiritual well-being and development of their communities.
In response to the current challenges many churches face, such as declining membership and changing societal dynamics, his sermon encouraged clergy to reaffirm their dedication to nurturing their congregations and acting as beacons of hope.
Throughout his message, Brian Gandy shared personal stories and referenced scripture, particularly from the scriptures book of Titus 1:1-9, which emphasized the responsibility of religious leaders to cultivate unity, compassion, and resilience within their communities.
“As stewards, pastors and reverends not only deepen their congregants’ faith, but also foster a sense of belonging and purpose”. He added.
He therefore discussed various strategies for enhancing community engagement and spiritual outreach, clarifying that licensed pastors and ordained reverends are essential in revitalizing the Church and meeting their communities’ spiritual needs in today’s climate.
At the closing service of the 20th National Conference for Harvest Intercontinental Ministries Unlimited – Liberia Mission, 22 individuals, including 10 women, were licensed as pastors, while four pastors including one female minister were ordained as Reverend for the Harvest Ministries.
The guest preacher’s motivational call resonated with attendees, igniting a renewed sense of commitment among church leaders.
The conference, which took place from August 12 to 17, 2025, at the Harvest Victory Chapel in Sanniqueille, Nimba County, centered around the theme “Partnership: A Pathway for Greater Harvest.”
Dignitaries, including the President of Nimba County University, Dr. Jesse Noah Mongrue
and other local officials of Nimba were present for the closing ceremony of the conference.
As the service concluded, participants left feeling optimistic and re-energized to collaborate in their shared mission of service, faith, and leadership.
