Two Investigative journalists, Eric Opa Doue and Methuselah Gaye, have been ordered arrested, handcuffed, and jailed for their continued investigative reports on drug-related crimes, which have largely exposed a well-organized drug cartel in River Cess County.
Recently, they also released a special report on young drug addicts, alleged dealers, and their accomplices in River Cess. Doue and Gaye have also written multiple news stories about how security officers and court officials have allegedly used their power and influence to compromise drug cases in the county.
According to a writ of arrest issued on August 13, 2025, magistrate police Leo Kollors, Jr, was ordered by the magisterial court in Yarpah Town to arrest the living bodies of the both journalists on charges of contempt of court.
The both journalists, Doue and Gaye, have been critical of the Court’s handling of drug-related cases. Though not proven till now, the Court claimed that the journalists allegedly provided “misleading” information that embarrassed the Court.
This is a developing story. More details to follow.
