Voiceopin Launches USAID-AMERICA to Revive Defunct USAID

In an effort to restore critical international aid programs, Voiceopin International and Voiceopin Spiritual Journey, led by Dr. Gwyndolyn McClellan, have announced the formation of USAID-AMERICA. The new organization aims to take over approximately 83% of the programs formerly managed by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), which was largely dismantled under the administration of President Donald Trump.

The initiative seeks to ensure that essential humanitarian efforts—ranging from poverty alleviation and disaster relief to economic development and environmental protection—continue despite the agency’s defunding. Dr. McClellan, a longtime advocate for social justice and humanitarian causes, envisions USAID-AMERICA as a key component of Voiceopin’s “ONE-STOP ISLAND of GLOBAL VOICE LEADERS.”

Unlike traditional aid organizations, USAID-AMERICA aims to redefine global assistance by addressing systemic abuse, which the organization describes as harm inflicted by institutions, governments, healthcare systems, legal frameworks, and educational structures. By integrating these elements into humanitarian work, USAID-AMERICA positions itself as a transformative force in global aid.

The organization draws inspiration from President John F. Kennedy, who founded USAID in 1961 with the vision of modernizing America’s approach to foreign aid. USAID-AMERICA embraces Kennedy’s call for a more evolved form of humanitarian assistance under the guiding principle of “America’s Global Light of Love on a Hurting World.”

Taking a tri-partisan approach, USAID-AMERICA incorporates liberal, moderate, and conservative perspectives on aid, aiming to align efforts with core American values of compassion and unity. Additionally, the organization will implement domestic humanitarian programs, acknowledging the need for aid within the United States as well as abroad.

Breaking away from past models that linked aid distribution to democratic governance, USAID-AMERICA will introduce a “Philosophy of Caring” and a Self-Power Building program. This initiative allows partnerships with nations regardless of political structure, focusing instead on meeting essential needs and fostering sustainable development.

To ensure operational continuity, USAID-AMERICA plans to rehire many former USAID employees, facilitating a smooth transition for existing programs. The official launch of the organization is set for August 1, 2025.

Unlike its predecessor, USAID-AMERICA will operate as a non-tax-funded initiative, relying on diverse funding sources, including a $400 billion fundraising campaign to sustain its first three years. The organization is also seeking volunteers, financial contributions, and in-kind donations, with additional support available through its online store at usaid-america.com.

In an effort to maximize its impact, USAID-AMERICA will collaborate with USIHA, the remaining segment of USAID that continued operations under the Trump administration. Together, they aim to strengthen America’s humanitarian outreach under the shared principle of “In God We Trust.”

Recognizing the need for congressional reform in humanitarian aid policies, USAID-AMERICA has pledged to advocate for improvements that will enhance America’s ability to assist those in need worldwide. Since 1995, Voiceopin International and Voiceopin Spiritual Journey, under Dr. McClellan’s leadership, have worked alongside Congress to address child abuse, humanitarian crises, and social justice issues on both domestic and international fronts. With USAID-AMERICA, they hope to continue that legacy on an even greater scale.
