Weah Wants Fallah Suspended, While Gray Wants Him Expelled

During a sit-down interview in Ghana, Opposition Leader and CDC Flagbeearer Geroge Weah lashed out at Deputy Speaker Thomas Fallah and called for suspension from CDC.

Weah expressed disappointment in Fallah’s decision to ‘betray’ his party and turn his back on Speaker Fonati Koffa. In addition to Weah’s call, a stalwart of the CDC, former Representative Acarous Gray, called for Fallah to be expelled instead of suspended.

“If I were in the case of the Grievance and Ethics Committee of the CDC, T-5 would be suspended, but again, he wouldn’t have the face to come back. I love Thomas Fallah, but I can’t condone it.” CDC Political Leader George Weah

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Thomas P. Fallah faces potential suspension or expulsion from the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) following his controversial decision to join the majority bloc, which has drawn sharp criticism from party leadership.

Acarous Moses Gray, a CDC member, has called for Fallah’s immediate expulsion, stating, “Fallah is the Vice Chairman for Operations and should abide by the party’s official position. Now that he is leading a fruitless cause to destroy the CDC, he must be expelled. Fallah has become a party deviant who has forgotten that the CDC took him from a plank field to national leadership. His actions are a ‘despicable act of betrayal,’ and such a traitor must be punished accordingly.”

Janga Kowo, a prominent spokesperson for the CDC, also supported Speaker J. Fonati Koffa, emphasizing the importance of loyalty and unity within the party. He warned that any member undermining the CDC’s objectives risks disciplinary action.

While Fallah has not yet been formally expelled, discussions are intensifying. His supporters advocate for his continued role, while detractors argue that his alignment with the majority bloc conflicts with the party’s mission. Political analysts closely monitor developments, as the outcome could significantly impact the CDC’s cohesion and strategy leading into the next electoral cycle. The stakes are high, with Fallah’s fate in the party hanging amid growing discord.
