“We’re Not Related”: Sen. Nathaniel McGill Clears Air on J. Bryant McGill Allegation

Margibi County, Liberia – The Office of Senator Nathaniel Farlo McGill of Margibi County has issued a public statement firmly distancing the senator from an alleged rape case involving Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports, Bryan McGill.

In a press release titled “Public Disclaimer on the Ongoing Case Involving Deputy Minister Bryan McGill,” the senator’s office emphasized that there is “no connection whatsoever” between Senator McGill and Deputy Minister McGill, apart from the coincidental sharing of a last name.

The disclaimer comes amid growing public confusion and media speculation linking the senator to the ongoing investigation, a development his office describes as “misleading, damaging, and deeply unfair.”

Sen. Nathaniel Farlo McGill has no involvement in, nor any association with, this grave matter,” the statement read. “They are not related by blood, family ties, professional association, or in any manner whatsoever.”

The statement also reaffirmed Senator McGill’s commitment to public service and called on the media and general public to act responsibly in reporting and discussing the case.

“His record of service to the people of Margibi County and Liberia at large stands in direct contradiction to such conduct,” it continued.

Authorities are currently investigating the rape allegation against Deputy Minister Bryan McGill, but no formal charges have been announced as of press time.

The senator’s office concluded the statement by urging the public to refrain from spreading misinformation and to allow the legal process to take its course without implicating unrelated individuals.
