Whistleblower Accuses President Boakai of Neglecting Key Campaign Allies

A fiery public statement from anti-corruption advocate Daniel Jackson has sparked political debate, as he accuses President Joseph Nyuma Boakai of sidelining core allies who played pivotal roles in his rise to power.

In an open letter shared widely with the media, Jackson voiced strong dissatisfaction over what he described as the President’s unwillingness to recognize or reward loyal campaign operatives, specifically singling out Hon. Nyah Mantein and Hon. Brownie J. Samuka.

Jackson, who brands himself as a “young and promising anti-corruption advocate,” described the President’s actions, or lack thereof, as a betrayal of the very people who helped lay the foundation for his electoral success.

“Has President Boakai forgotten those who genuinely fought to bring him to power?” Jackson asked pointedly. “These individuals stood by him during difficult political times, and yet they remain unrewarded.”

Jackson highlighted the contributions of Hon. Mantein, former chair of the National Movement to Support Boakai (NAMBO), citing his grassroots organizing efforts during both the 2017 and 2023 elections.

“Mantein is a founding member of the struggle,” Jackson stated. “He deserves fair recognition and opportunities for the sacrifices he made.”

The activist also referenced Hon. Samuka, another key player in Boakai’s presidential campaigns, questioning why such loyalists have been overlooked in government appointments since the Unity Party returned to power.

The President’s apparent indifference to these loyal figures is not just disappointing, it’s deeply troubling,” Jackson wrote. “Even within the Unity Party, no one can deny the level of commitment these men showed.”

The statement has drawn attention from political observers and grassroots supporters alike, many of whom have already expressed frustration over what they describe as limited inclusion and recognition within the Boakai-led administration.

While the President has yet to respond directly to the allegations, the comments have reignited discussions around political patronage, reward for loyalty, and the inclusivity of governance under the Unity Party’s leadership.

Jackson’s bold challenge to party stalwarts to refute his claims only further intensifies the debate, and leaves open questions about how President Boakai will navigate the growing calls for internal reconciliation and reward.

As murmurs of discontent continue to surface, many are watching closely to see whether these concerns will be addressed or dismissed as part of the broader political noise.
