Bomi County, Liberia – The Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has forwarded a 45-year-old woman to court after she was found in possession of a large quantity of Tramadol concealed in several gallons of red oil.

The drugs were discovered during a routine vehicle inspection by officers at the Clay Checkpoint in Bomi County. The suspect, identified as Emmon Gboyah, reportedly admitted to authorities that the gallons contained the illicit substances.

According to LDEA officials, the confiscated Tramadol is valued at over nine hundred thousand Liberian dollars.

In response to the seizure, the LDEA detachment in Bomi County has intensified patrol operations across the county to prevent the smuggling of dangerous drugs.

The agency is urging citizens to continue providing credible information that can aid in the fight against illicit drugs and help secure the nation’s communities from traffickers.
