President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has officially commissioned Ambassador Amara Sackor as Liberia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The ceremony, held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at the Executive Mansion in Monrovia, marks a significant milestone in strengthening diplomatic relations between the two countries.
In his address, President Boakai underscored the importance of enhancing bilateral relations with Saudi Arabia, emphasizing key areas such as economic cooperation, trade, education, and investment. He urged Ambassador Sackor to work diligently to promote Liberia’s interests and deepen the partnership between both nations.
“As you assume this esteemed position, I charge you to be a true representative of Liberia, promoting our values and exploring opportunities that will benefit our country and its people,” said President Boakai. He added that strengthening diplomatic and economic ties with Saudi Arabia continues to be a key priority for his administration.
Ambassador Sackor, in his acceptance remarks, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to President Boakai and the Liberian government for entrusting him with the important role. He pledged to serve with dedication and work tirelessly to elevate Liberia’s presence and foster greater engagement with Saudi Arabia.
The ceremony was attended by senior government officials, members of Ambassador Sackor’s family, and other dignitaries, marking a significant moment in Liberia’s foreign relations.
