Monrovia City Court Issues Writ of Arrest for Presley Tenwah and Elvis Johnson for Impersonating as Executives of GTMS Liberia

MONROVIA, Liberia, Oct. 8, 2026: The Monrovia City Court has issued a writ of arrest for two men for falsely presenting themselves as senior officials of a maritime and tracking company, GTMS Liberia.

The writ, issued Thursday by Stipendiary Magistrate L. Ben Barco, orders Captain Augustine T. Forleh of the Magistrate Police, or his deputy, to arrest Presley Tenwah and Elvis D. Johnson and bring them before the court. They face charges of impersonating and menacing.

According to the writ, the complaint was brought by the Republic of Liberia through Plaintiff Aminata Bangura. She alleges that the two men falsely introduced themselves as General Manager and Public Relations Executive and Operations Manager, respectively, of Global Tracking and Maritime Solutions (GTMS) Liberia Incorporated.

The complaint says the men claimed they had been appointed by one Sahr H. W. Negegba, described as purporting to be a director of the company. The writ says Negegba has no association with GTMS Liberia’s corporate structure.

The complaint further alleges that when Bangura questioned the men, they replied that anybody standing in their way would be destroyed, killed or harmed. It also claims they have continued to tell others that they have taken over the corporation to do business with it, to the company’s detriment.

The alleged acts are said to violate Chapter 14, Section 14.25, and Chapter 12, Section 12.35, of Liberia’s Revised Penal Law.

The writ was signed by the court’s clerk, Abel Kalay, and was drafted by Atty. Alex Hawkins S. Younge.

The allegations have not been tested in court, and the defendants are presumed innocent. They could not immediately be reached for comment.
