NAYMOTE Shifts Focus from Campaign Promises to Development Agenda Monitoring

Monrovia, Liberia- Naymote Partners for Democratic Development has unveiled a new independent framework aimed at tracking Liberia’s National Development Plan-the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development-which will guide national priorities from 2025 to 2029.

The ARREST Agenda presents a bold vision for national transformation, built around six strategic pillars, 52 core programs, and 378 development interventions.

It focuses on key sectors including economic transformation, good governance, and infrastructure, the rule of law, health, education, and environmental sustainability.

Naymote’s newly launched framework is designed to track, monitor, document, and report on the implementation of the ARREST Agenda.

It will provide citizens with timely, reliable, and independent updates on the government’s progress.

The framework will gather baseline data, conduct policy analyses, and assess performance across ministries, agencies, commissions, and state-owned enterprises.

The findings will be disseminated through regular performance reports, digital dashboards, community radio programs, and town hall meetings.

The organization is calling on civil society, the media, development partners, and government institutions to support the initiative by sharing accurate information, supplying timely data, and promoting accountability across all levels.

“Liberia’s future depends on a government that delivers and a citizenry that demands results,” said Eddie Jarwolo, Executive Director of Naymote. “Through this initiative, Naymote will actively work to ensure development efforts benefit every Liberian.”

This new initiative builds on the success of Naymote’s President Meter, transitioning from monitoring campaign promises to assessing the broader scope of national development commitments.

Jarwolo emphasized that the framework aims to shift national discourse from political rhetoric to evidence-based development outcomes.

“As a leading civil society institution committed to democratic accountability, Naymote is dedicated to ensuring this ambitious agenda translates into real and measurable progress,” he said. “Our new framework promotes transparency, tracks progress, and empowers citizens to shape the country’s future.”

The tracking initiative is part of Naymote’s Democratic Advancement Program (DAP), which seeks to enhance public accountability and strengthen the social contract between political leaders and citizens.

As part of the initiative, Naymote will release a mid-year implementation status report and an annual review outlining achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
