Human Rights and Civil Society Actors, including government officials and international partners, gathered in Monrovia for a one Day Stakeholder Conference on operationalizing a National Action Plan for Business and Human Rights.
Held at the Liberia Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, June 5, 2025, Capitol Hill, the conference brought together, several dignitaries including ECOWAS Resident Representative to Liberia, Amb. Josephine Nkrumah, Deputy Justice Minister for Economic Affairs, Cllr. Charles Karmo, UN Resident Coordinator to Liberia, Christine UMutoni, EU Representative among others.
This plan is typically a strategic document aimed at promoting and protecting businesses and human rights within the country in line with national laws and international obligations.
