President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. has returned to Liberia following his successful participation in two high-level regional engagements, the West Africa Economic Summit (WAEC) and the 67th Ordinary Session of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
President Boakai’s visits underscored Liberia’s commitment to regional cooperation, economic integration, and democratic governance. During the events, held in Nigeria, the Liberian leader joined his West African counterparts in discussing pressing economic challenges, security concerns, and strategies for sustainable development across the sub-region.
The President also used the opportunity to engage in bilateral discussions with several regional leaders aimed at strengthening diplomatic ties and exploring economic partnerships beneficial to Liberia.
President Boakai was warmly welcomed at the Roberts International Airport by senior government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, and traditional leaders.
