Monrovia, Liberia – August 8, 2025 — President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has announced a fresh wave of appointments to key government institutions, naming new officials to the National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL), the Governance Commission (GC), and the Independent Board of Parole under the Ministry of Justice.
According to an Executive Mansion release, the appointments are as follows:
National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL)
Mr. Fabian Michael Lai — President & Chief Executive Officer
Governance Commission (GC)
Mrs. Cytirus K. Kerbay — Commissioner for Civil Engagement, National Identity and Visioning Mandate
Independent Board of Parole, Division of Corrections (Ministry of Justice)
Mr. Stanley J.W. Cooper I — Chairman
Mrs. Ne-Suah Beyan Livingstone — Member
Prof. Atty. Kpadeson Sumo — Member
The President noted that, where required, these appointments are subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate.
In making the announcement, President Boakai urged the newly appointed officials to uphold diligence, commitment, integrity, professionalism, and loyalty in the execution of their duties, stressing the need for service in the national interest.
The appointments take immediate effect.
