A group of concerned residents from District 12, Montserrado County, has issued a strong statement of dissatisfaction, accusing their district representative, Hon. Jerry K. Yorgboh Sr., of abandonment, deception, and a continued failure to address critical issues affecting the constituency.
In a public release, the citizens expressed “profound disappointment” over what they describe as “consistent poor leadership” on the part of Representative Yorgboh. They claim that under his tenure, essential community needs such as education, healthcare, public safety, and infrastructure development have been grossly neglected.
“The lack of responsiveness to the pressing issues facing our district is not only alarming but also unacceptable,” the statement read. “These issues have been consistently overlooked, demonstrating a clear disregard for the well-being of the people who elected this representative to serve them.”
The group further criticized the representative for what they describe as a failure to engage with residents and maintain open communication. This, they say, reflects a larger problem ~ a disconnect from the constituents he was elected to serve.
“Leadership is about accountability, integrity, and a commitment to progress, none of which have been evident in his actions,” the statement continued. “We are calling for a leader who will stand up for the community, listen to its residents, and take decisive action to address our collective concerns.”
The release ended with a call to action, urging other residents to join in demanding better representation and holding leaders accountable for their performance.
“Because Hon. Jerry K. Yorgboh Sr. has failed us and dashed our hopes and aspirations, this is a call for the people’s action,” the group declared.
There has been no immediate response from Representative Yorgboh or his office regarding the allegations.
District 12, located in Montserrado County, is home to a vibrant and diverse population, many of whom say they are eager for a shift in leadership that prioritizes transparency, accessibility, and meaningful development.
