Junior Dolo, a young man from Grand Bassa County, has come forward with a startling revelation about his involvement with a leopard group as a means of self-protection and survival.
In an exclusive interview with Verity News Tuesday, August 19, Dolo shared his story of how he was initiated into the group by a man named Zoego in Timbo Town, District #3B.
Dolo described a harrowing experience where he and a friend, now deceased, were transformed into leopard forms and led into the deep forest on a quest to chase a quarrelsome animal.
However, their plans were thwarted when a hunter spotted them in their animal forms while attempting to climb a tree after the elusive creature.
Tragedy struck as Dolo’s friend, the one who had initiated him into the group, was killed by the hunter, while Dolo miraculously survived by transforming into a bird and flying away.
Grateful for his survival, Dolo expressed his thanks to God and urged others not to resort to transforming into animals for protection.
The dangerous encounter served as a wake-up call for Dolo, prompting him to caution against the risks and potential consequences of such actions.
Dolo’s revelation has prompted discussions and raised concerns about the existence of clandestine leopard groups in Grand Bassa County.
The news had made many residents in the area to take necessary actions to ensure the safety of the community and deter individuals from engaging in such practices.
