Tired Of Smith’s Leadership? Rivercess Senator Criticizes Citizens for Petitioning Another County Senator for 2029 Election

Cestos, Rivercess County – Rivercess County Senator Willington Geevon Smith has sharply criticized some citizens of the county for allegedly petitioning a Senator from another county to contest in the 2029 general elections.

Serving as keynote speaker during Flag Day celebrations in Rivercess, Senator Smith described the alleged action as “a complete disrespect” to the county and its people.

According to him, a group of citizens, a few months ago, approached a sitting senator from another county with a request to run in Rivercess come 2029. He blasted the move, saying it undermines the pride and identity of Rivercessians.

This is a sale of our county. Citizens must value their origin. Such action is beyond imagination,” Senator Smith said in a frustrated tone.

The lawmaker, popularly known as the “Rescue Senator,” further announced that he will not seek re-election in 2029, citing several reasons including what he called the “disrespectful petition” to an outsider.

However, Smith vowed to play a key role in deciding his successor when his term ends.

He emphasized that Rivercess deserves leaders who respect its heritage and put the county’s interests first, not individuals “invited from outside” by citizens who do not value their own county.
