Who Killed Moisemah? Citizens Action Committee Demands Justice

By: Morlu F. Freeman, Sr.

Voinjama, Lofa County – The Citizens Action Committee (CAC) of Voinjama District has launched a bold campaign demanding justice for the late Yarkpowolo Moisemah, whose death has sparked widespread concern and outrage in the community.

In a public statement, the CAC described the circumstances surrounding Moisemah’s death as “questionable” and vowed to take peaceful but firm action until justice is served. As part of its protest plan, the committee announced a shutdown of the John’s Town market in Bondi Clan on Thursday, September 25, 2025. The following day, all schools, businesses, and marketplaces in Voinjama City will also be closed in solidarity.

“No police presence will deter our efforts,” the CAC declared, vowing to continue its demonstrations until authorities provide clear answers and take appropriate action regarding Moisemah’s case.

The late Yarkpowolo Moisemah’s death has triggered growing unrest in the district, with many residents demanding a thorough and transparent investigation. The CAC, supported by various community members, is calling on local and national authorities to treat the matter with urgency and seriousness.

This is not just about one person,” said a CAC representative. “It’s about ensuring that justice is not selective and that every citizen, regardless of status, is protected under the law.”

As tensions rise, observers are urging calm and dialogue between the committee and security agencies, while also acknowledging the community’s right to peaceful protest and justice.
