Monrovia, October 17, 2025 – As the former ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) gears up to officially break ground for the construction of its new party headquarters in Congo Town, former Finance and Development Planning Minister Samuel D. Tweah on Friday paid an onsite visit to inspect ongoing preparations.
The visit by Mr. Tweah, a prominent figure within the CDC and one of its key policymakers during the Weah administration, comes just day before the party is expected to commence full-scale construction on the long-awaited facility.
During the visit, Tweah was seen engaging with engineers and project supervisors, assessing progress and offering guidance on logistical and financial coordination for the project. Party insiders say the new headquarters will serve as a modern political and administrative center for the CDC, symbolizing the party’s resilience and long-term vision.
The groundbreaking ceremony is expected to draw senior party executives, stalwarts, and supporters from across the country, marking what many describe as a “new chapter” in the CDC’s organizational development and post-administration rebuilding efforts.
