Wayzohn Town, Rivercess County – Panic and uncertainty have gripped residents of Wayzohn, F.D. Community after a man identified as Junior Mappay was discovered lying unconscious early Thursday morning along the Cestos Highway near the Chinese Road Junction.
According to residents, Junior appeared unresponsive at the time of discovery, prompting fears that he may already be dead. However, health authorities have yet to conduct an examination to confirm whether he is alive or deceased, leaving the community in suspense.
Eyewitness accounts indicate that Junior was seen the previous evening consuming alcoholic drinks with unidentified companions. Those individuals allegedly abandoned him during the night, only for residents to find him unconscious by the roadside at dawn.
Family members told reporters that medical professionals had previously advised Junior to reduce his alcohol intake due to health concerns. They expressed frustration that he continued heavy drinking despite repeated warnings.
Police officers have since arrived on the scene and are maintaining order as residents gather nearby. Community members say they are waiting for health practitioners and relevant authorities to assess Junior’s condition and determine the next steps.
