MONROVIA – Liberia’s biggest night in music returned in grand style on Saturday, December 6, 2026, as the MTN Liberia Music Awards (MLMA) lit up the Ministerial Complex in Congo Town. Artists, industry stakeholders, and fans gathered to celebrate outstanding achievements in the Liberian music industry for the 2025 award year.
The ceremony organized by MTN Liberia saw rising stars and established names take center stage, with King Dennis emerging as the night’s biggest winner.
King Dennis walked away with three major awards, claiming Artist of the Year, Best Male Artist of the Year, and Hipco/Trapco Artist of the Year, solidifying his influence in Liberia’s contemporary soundscape.
SIO’s hit single “Blessing” captured the nation throughout the year and earned him Song of the Year, while fast-rising sensation Larry G secured the coveted Next Rated Artist of the Year title.
Other notable winners included Afro-pop sensation Jzyno, who took home Best Afro Pop Artist of the Year, and artist 10:30, recognized as Trending Artist of the Year. CIC’s impressive body of work earned him Album of the Year, while Anitrim was celebrated as Female Artist of the Year.
Will Flash had a standout night as well, sweeping three awards: Collaboration of the Year, New Artist of the Year, and Best Afro Pop Song of the Year for his hit “My Ex.”
Traditional music was also honored, with JBoy De Prophet winning Traditional Gbema Artist of the Year, while Mon Rovia claimed Outstanding Artist of the Year.
Vocal powerhouse STUNN secured Male Vocal Performance of the Year, and gospel minister Samuelyn Wilson dominated the gospel categories, winning both Gospel Artist of the Year and Female Gospel Artist of the Year.
Behind the scenes, T Que Beat was recognized as Producer of the Year, while celebrated entertainer DJ Sama took home two awards: Hipco/Trapco Song of the Year for “Eat Your Show” and Best DJ of the Year.
The MTN Liberia Music Awards once again highlighted the depth, diversity, and rapidly growing potential of Liberia’s music industry.
