President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has accepted the resignation of Ms. Alphia Faith Kemokai from her position as a member of the National Youth Advisory Council, citing personal reasons for her decision to step down.
According to an Executive Mansion release, President Boakai acknowledged Ms. Kemokai’s service and contributions to the Council, praising her role in promoting youth engagement and strengthening policy dialogue affecting young people across the country.
The President noted that her efforts helped advance civic awareness and youth participation in national affairs.
In a move to ensure the continuity and effective functioning of the Council, President Boakai has appointed Ms. Mariama Tuzee Toure as a new member of the National Youth Advisory Council, with immediate effect.
The appointment of Ms. Toure, the release said, underscores the Administration’s commitment to inclusive youth representation and recognition of the vital role young leaders play in shaping Liberia’s development agenda.
President Boakai called on stakeholders, development partners, and young people nationwide to lend their support to Ms. Toure as she takes up her new responsibilities.
He also extended best wishes to Ms. Kemokai in her future endeavors. The transition, according to the Executive Mansion, reflects the Government of Liberia’s continued focus on inclusive governance and sustained youth involvement in national decision-makingprocesses.
