Montserrado County District #2 Representative Sekou Kanneh has donated cash and building materials to the Liberia National Police (LNP) to support the reconstruction of the Zone 9, Depot 4 Police Station in the City View Rehab Community.
The police depot was destroyed by fire in December 2025, disrupting security services for more than ten communities within District #2.
Presenting the donation, Representative Kanneh described the rebuilding of the facility as an urgent priority for public safety and community stability.
“This police station is critical to the security and protection of our people and rebuilding it cannot wait,” Kanneh told journalists.
He called on residents, local leaders, and other stakeholders to rally behind the effort and contributes toward restoring the depot.
“A strong and functional police presence is essential for safeguarding lives and property in our communities,” the lawmaker emphasized.
Representative Kanneh’s contribution includes 65 steel rods, 100 bags of cement, 2,000 blocks, a load of sand and crushed rock, and US$500 in cash.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the LNP, Officer Stephen Sayee of Zone 9 expressed gratitude for the timely support.
“This contribution is a major boost to the morale of our officers and a clear sign of Representative Kanneh’s genuine concern for public safety,” Officer Sayee said.
He noted that the donation would help speed up reconstruction and allow police operations to return to full capacity.
The General Chairman of the Du-Neesoe Ten Communities, Mr. Livingston J. Gbellie, also welcomed the intervention.
“The police depot serves as a symbol of justice, protection, and accountability for our ten communities,” Gbellie stated.
He added that the community is eager to see the facility rebuilt to restore confidence and safety among residents.
The reconstruction of Zone 9, Depot 4 Police Station is expected to strengthen security services and deepen cooperation between the police and communities across District #2.
