The National Security Agency (NSA) has dismissed senior official Peter Bon Jallah following allegations that he and two other individuals gang-sodomized a 15-year-old boy, authorities confirmed on Thursday.
The decision comes in the wake of an investigative report published by Verity Newspaper, which detailed claims by the victim’s family and cited preliminary findings pointing to the alleged involvement of the former NSA official. The report intensified public scrutiny and prompted swift action by state authorities.
According to security sources, Jallah’s dismissal takes immediate effect and is intended to allow for an unhindered criminal investigation. He is currently being held by the Liberia National Police (LNP) as investigators expand their probe to include the two other alleged accomplices.
The survivor is reportedly receiving medical care at an undisclosed health facility. Family members say the child remains traumatized as medical professionals and counselors provide treatment and psychosocial support.
