ANC Appoints New Party Officials

The Alternative National Congress (ANC) has announced the appointment of several officials to key leadership positions as part of a strategic restructuring effort ahead of 2029 elections.

The announcement was made by ANC National Chairman, Cllr. Lafayette E.O. Gould, who said the appointments form part of a broader plan to enhance the party’s organizational effectiveness, expand grassroots mobilization, and improve internal coordination across the country.

According to the ANC, the appointments were made in consultation with the party’s Political Leader, Mr. Alexander B. Cummings, and the National Executive Committee (NEC). Party leaders say the restructuring reflects the ANC’s commitment to building a disciplined, inclusive, and election-ready political institution capable of providing credible leadership to the Liberian people.

Among those appointed are Partisan C. Tonia Fahnbulleh as Chair of the Mobilization and Recruitment Committee, with Partisan Omaru Sheriff serving as Co-Chair. Partisan Sensee Kiadii has been named Director of the Communications and Public Affairs Committee, while Partisan Rev. Josiah Asher Kennedy will chair the Council of Eminent Persons.

Other appointments include Partisan Mandella Geeply as Chair of the Disabled Council; Partisan Elder Rufus Saydee as Chair of the Council of Chiefs and Elders; and Partisan George Dahn as Chair of the Governing Council.

Partisan Patrick Y. Moore was appointed Chair of Auxiliaries, while Partisan Jacob Monyou will head Logistics and Procurement, assisted by Partisan Darius Lewis as Deputy Head and Transport Director.

Additionally, Partisan Henry Gbalai has been appointed Chair of the Grievance and Ethics Committee, and Partisan Alex Kpui will serve as Chair of the Internal Audit Committee.

Chairman Gould called on all newly appointed officials to serve with dedication, integrity, and a renewed sense of purpose in advancing the ideals and vision of the ANC.

He also disclosed that further appointments will be announced in the coming weeks as the party continues its comprehensive restructuring process.

The ANC says the latest moves underscore its determination to reposition itself as a strong political alternative ahead of the 2029 elections.
