Over 130 Earth Moving Machines Arrive at Freeport of Monrovia

Monrovia, Liberia — The first batch of 285 earth moving machines has arrived in the country, with more than one hundred & thirty heavy-duty yellow machines offloaded at the Freeport of Monrovia on Sunday.

The shipment, transported aboard the vessel HJ Singapore, docked at the port on Sunday, marking what officials describe as a significant boost to the nation’s infrastructure and development drive.

Photos from the port show long rows of bright yellow heavy equipment lined up along the harbor, drawing attention from onlookers and port workers. Among the machines delivered are bulldozers, excavators, wheel loaders, motor graders, dump trucks, compactors and backhoe loaders.

Port authorities confirmed that this consignment represents the first installment of a total of 285 earth moving machines expected to be deployed for road construction, public works, and other major infrastructure projects across the 15 counties in the country.

The arrival of the equipment is anticipated to enhance ongoing development efforts, particularly in road rehabilitation and urban expansion initiatives. Officials have indicated that additional batches will arrive in the coming months to complete the full shipment.

Sunday’s delivery at the Freeport marks a notable moment for Liberia’s infrastructure sector, as the country continues to scale up efforts aimed at improving connectivity and supporting economic growth.
