In what appears to be a shock to many, the Judge of the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court, His Honor Peter W. Gbeneweleh, has issued a writ of possession in favor of the interstate estate of the late Francis Marshall by and through its administrators Mai Thompson and Godwin Marshall.

The Court eviction order against the NEC, dated April 15, 2026, stated, “You are hereby commanded by the Assigned Circuit Judge of the Honorable Court, His Honor Peter W. Gbeneweleh, Assigned Circuit Judge, Sixth Judicial Circuit Sitting in its March Term, A.D 2026, by virtue of his ruling dated April 13, A.D. 2026, to put the plantiff in possession of the premises/properties subject of this litigation. You are further commanded to oust, evict, and eject the above named defendants, the National Elections Commission…”

The Court Sheriff has mandated all employees of NEC to immediately vacate the premises.

The Headquarters of the National Election Commission (NEC) located on 9th and 10th Streets in Sinkor, Monrovia, was constructed before the 2011 general and presidential election with funding support from the U.S Government.
