People’s Power Movement and Martin K. N. Kollie Foundation Sponsor 100 Students for U.L Entrance Exam

The People’s Power Movement, in collaboration with the Martin K. N. Kollie Foundation, has announced the selection of 100 beneficiaries for sponsorship to sit the entrance examination and aptitude test at the University of Liberia.

The initiative, which attracted 1,154 applicants, aims to empower, educate, and inspire young Liberians by removing financial barriers to higher education. Organizers say all entrance fees, valued at L$300,000, will be fully covered for the selected candidates.

The beneficiaries have been instructed to report to the University of Liberia Capitol Hill campus on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., with their official high school documents and identification cards.

According to the organizers, the program prioritizes inclusion, with persons living with disabilities also considered during the selection process.

In a statement, exiled activist Martin K. N. Kollie emphasized that the initiative is part of a broader effort to provide tangible support and empowerment to Liberians seeking higher education opportunities.

The organizers say the program has now supported 200 students within a year, underscoring what they describe as a growing commitment to practical solutions in the education sector.

They reaffirmed their message that empowering citizens through education remains key to national development, stressing that “the people must be empowered.”
