Mahmud Sadis Buba, a 30-year-old politician and grassroots mobiliser from Kaduna State, has declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat representing Sabon Gari Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Buba, a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress, recently obtained the party’s Expression of Interest and nomination forms, formally signalling his entry into the race.
Announcing his ambition on his verified Facebook page, the aspirant said his decision was motivated by a desire to provide purposeful representation and inclusive development for the constituency.
He pledged to prioritize honesty, dedication and people-centered leadership if elected into the National Assembly, adding that the campaign was about the future and progress of Sabon Gari.
The development has drawn reactions from political figures, including former Kaduna Central senator Shehu Sani, who described Buba’s ambition as “a challenge to the youth” in a post on his verified X handle.
As part of his consultations, Buba also presented his nomination forms to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC leaders.
