Kuoh Rejects LFA Decision, Pledges to Defend Rights

By Jeremiah Gayflor

Cassell A. Kuoh, disqualified presidential candidate in the upcoming Liberia Football Association (LFA) elections, has vowed to challenge the decision through all lawful means while reaffirming his commitment to reforming Liberian football.

In a statement issued on the eve of the elections, Kuoh said he “respectfully disagrees” with the decision to reject his application for the LFA presidency, describing the matter as one that goes beyond politics and touches on fairness, legality, and the integrity of football governance.

“I remain committed to pursuing all lawful and available remedial processes to ensure that my fundamental rights are protected,” Kuoh stated.

Despite the setback, the FC Fassell CEO and president said he remains undeterred and motivated by what he described as overwhelming support from the football community and the public.

“I do not view this moment as a setback,” he said. “If anything, I stand today more focused, more determined, and even more inspired.”

Kuoh also used the occasion of Liberia’s Unification Day to call for calm, unity, and mutual respect among football stakeholders, emphasizing that football should serve as a unifying force for the country.

“Unity is not merely symbolic; it is the foundation upon which the future of our game must be built,” he noted.

He thanked supporters, family members, and his team for their continued encouragement and reiterated that his commitment to the development and transformation of Liberian football “does not begin or end with an election.”
