MONROVIA — President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. on Tuesday held a consultative meeting with the leadership of the Liberian Senate to strengthen collaboration between the Executive and Legislative branches on key national issues.
The meeting, held at the President’s Rehab Community Office in Paynesville, focused on governance, national development, security, and enhancing cooperation to advance the country’s priorities.
According to the Executive Mansion, President Boakai and the Senate leadership agreed to maintain regular consultations and work closely on initiatives aimed at promoting peace, stability, and the welfare of the Liberian people.
The Senate delegation included Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung, President Pro Tempore Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence, and Senators Abraham Darius Dillon, Alex Tyler, James P. Biney, Gbleh-bo Brown, Prince K. Moye, Dabah M. Varpilah, and Augustine S. Chea.
Senior Executive Branch officials attending the meeting included Minister of State for Presidential Affairs Samuel A. Stevquoah, Justice Minister and Attorney General Oswald N. Tweh, Information Minister Jerolinmek M. Piah, National Security Advisor Samuel Kofi Woods II, and Presidential Legal Advisor Bushuben M. Keita.
