Businesswoman Pleads Guilty in Cocaine Trafficking Case

Liberian Businesswoman Quita Kosso Dolo has pleaded guilty to charges linked to an ongoing cocaine trafficking case before the 13th Judicial Circuit Court in Margibi County.

According to court records, Dolo admitted guilt during proceedings held Friday alongside co-defendant Adudlla Sheriff, who also entered a guilty plea. The case centers on more than three kilograms of cocaine allegedly discovered in Dolo’s luggage at Roberts International Airport.

Investigators said the drugs were found after Dolo arrived in Liberia from Bangkok, Thailand aboard Kenya Airways Flight KQ887.

Four other defendants connected to the matter, including several officers of the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA), pleaded not guilty and are expected to stand trial.

The LDEA said the cocaine seized in the operation carries an estimated street value of more than US$181,000.

The case remains before the court as prosecutors continue proceedings against the remaining defendants.
