River Gee County – Preparations for an official dedication and handover of Khadijah Medical Center, a private health facility located in the county commercial hub of Gbeapo Kanweaken River Gee County, continue to gain momentum following the arrival of a substantial shipment of donated medical equipment and healthcare supplies.
The donation, provided through the generosity of Wisconsin Medical Project and other international partners, is estimated to be worth approximately US$350,000 and will greatly strengthen the medical center’s ability to provide essential healthcare services to residents of Electoral District #1 and surrounding communities.
Developed by Khadijah Medical Clinic, Inc., a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the new medical center is a 32-room private healthcare facility designed to expand access to affordable, quality healthcare in one of Liberia’s underserved rural regions.
The shipment includes hospital beds and mattresses, wheelchairs, walkers, rollators, crutches, canes, patient lifts, CPAP machines, an oxygen concentrator, nebulizers,
Other includes intravenous (IV) poles, commodes, shower chairs, blood pressure equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), and numerous additional medical supplies required to support patient care and clinical operations.
Speaking after the arrival of the shipment, Alhaji Morris M. Kromah, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Khadijah Medical Clinic, Inc., expressed heartfelt appreciation to Wisconsin Medical Project and the organization’s international partners for their generous support.

“This donation represents an important milestone in our journey to improve healthcare access for the people of River Gee County,” Kromah said. “Every piece of equipment brings us one step closer to opening a medical center that will provide compassionate, affordable, and quality healthcare to families who have long faced significant barriers to medical services.”
He noted that the donated equipment will enable the medical center to establish essential clinical services, strengthen emergency response capabilities, and improve the diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses while supporting maternal and child healthcare and chronic disease management.
Once operational, Khadijah Medical Center is expected to become an important healthcare resource for Kanweaken, Gbeapo, Chedepo, Tienpo, and surrounding towns and villages, helping reduce the need for patients to travel long distances to obtain medical care.
The arrival of the equipment comes at a time when rural communities across River Gee County continue to face shortages of healthcare infrastructure, diagnostic equipment, and essential medical services. Community leaders and residents have welcomed the donation as a significant investment in the county’s healthcare future.
