Counsel Johnson Sues Goodday Flomo, Sesay Over Alleged Libel

Cllr. Arthur T. Johnson has filed a lawsuit against social commentator and media personality James Samuel Goodday Flomo and co-defendant Abdulkadi Titita Alieu Sesay, accusing them of damages for wrong and libel.

The case was filed before the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court sitting in its June Term A.D. 2026 in Monrovia.

The lawsuit was filed before the Resident Circuit Judge of the Sixth Judicial Circuit, Civil Law Court J. Kennedy Peabody at the Temple of Justice.

In the plaintiff’s written directions to the court, the legal team requested the issuance of a writ of summons ordering the defendants to appear and respond to the complaint.

“You are further directed to issue a Writ of Summons and place same in the hands of the Sheriff of the Honorable Court, commanding him to summons the Defendant mentioned earlier to appear in the courtroom of the Sixth Judicial Circuit Civil Law Court for Montserrado County with his formal Appearance/Answer,” parts of the writ stated.

The filing also noted that failure by the defendants to appear could lead to a default judgment being entered against them.

Court records show the suit was filed on May 25, 2026, through the plaintiff’s legal counsel. The defendants are yet to publicly respond to the allegations.
