Residents of Putu-Gaywely Town in the Putu area of Konobo District, Grand Gedeh County, were thrown into fear and confusion after a giant tree reportedly collapsed shortly after the arrival of a herbalist in the community.
Eyewitnesses described the incident as strange and unsettling, with many residents quickly linking the sudden collapse to alleged traditional spiritual activities.
The shocking scene reportedly attracted huge crowds from nearby towns as people rushed to witness what many called a “mysterious sign.”
The unexpected incident sparked panic and heated debate across the community, with residents offering conflicting explanations about what may have caused the massive tree to fall at that exact moment.
Some locals openly expressed fear, while others insisted the incident could not be ordinary, especially given the timing surrounding the herbalist’s arrival.
