Traditional leaders in Bolloh Doeswen Town, Grand Kru District #2, have commenced an investigation into allegations of domestic abuse involving a 38-year-old man identified as Peter Teah, a resident originally from Nimba County.
The investigation follows reports from community members alleging that Peter Teah physically assaulted his girlfriend, identified only as M.A.J. According to residents, the incident prompted concern among community members, leading to his apprehension and subsequent appearance before local traditional authorities.
Several citizens of Bolloh Doeswen have alleged that the reported incident is not an isolated case. Residents claim that the accused has on multiple occasions subjected the woman to physical abuse, describing the latest allegation as part of what they believe to be a recurring pattern of violence. These claims, however, remain allegations and have not yet been independently verified by authorities.
Traditional leaders are currently gathering statements and information from individuals connected to the matter as part of an ongoing effort to establish the facts surrounding the allegations. Community elders are expected to hear from relevant parties before reaching any determination on the case.
The incident has generated widespread discussion within Grand Kru District #2, with many residents expressing concern over the allegations and calling for appropriate action should the claims be substantiated through the investigation process.
As of the time of this report, traditional authorities had not announced an official decision, and the investigation remains ongoing.
