FC Fassell Vice President Edward N. Wolloh has been elected unopposed as president of Gbehzohn 80s Old-timers Sports Association.

The elections were held in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County on 13 June.

Wolloh will serve a four-year tenure, which marks a significant moment for Gbehzohn.

Others elected to also serve a four-year tenure were Uriah G. Moore, Vice President for administration; Daniel Bayogar, Vice President for operations; Martin Mulbah, secretary-general; John Logan, financial secretary and David Toe, treasurer.

Wolloh said his election demonstrates the confidence reposed in his ability to lead and strengthen Gbehzohn’s commitment to sportsmanship, unity and community engagement.

“I extremely delighted to be entrusted with the leadership of this great old-timers association.

“This is not just an organization to play football every weekend and holiday but a place where we recreate old memories from our days of youth and care for one another by sharing the little things God has blessed us with,” Wolloh told Verity on the line from Buchanan.

Wolloh is expected to bring renewed energy to Gbehzohn by fostering collaboration among members and advancing the vision of preserving the legacy of the 80s Oldtimers.

His election was met with warm congratulations from colleagues and supporters, who believe his tenure will promote the values of discipline, teamwork and respect.

Senior Female Professionals President Emmett Stages Glassco, a long time friend and brother, was invited to grace the occasion and presented Wolloh’s certificate of election.

The Gbehzohn 80s Oldtimers Sports Association continues to serve as a platform for former athletes and sports enthusiasts to connect, celebrate their shared history and inspire younger generations.

The induction will be held on 4 July.
